I received this message from Freddi Woodford requesting a dispensation to attend our Open Water Adventure Feb 1-6 at Eleuthera in the Bahamas and reprint it here to clarify that if you haven’t completed a TI workshop yet have developed into a strong swimmer through your own efforts, we would be happy to consider you for participation.

I’d like to attend this camp, but haven’t gone to a workshop. I’ve been practicing TI for several years, with the aid of your videos and book. At 47, I swim 6 times a week. ranging up to 5300 yards. I can do the 5300 yard workout in 1 hour/20 minutes and average around 1:25 per 100. I’ve swum in open water races, I scuba dive and snorkel.

I understand your preference to prequalify swimmers for this camp. TI has totally changed my freestyle but I believe I can learn more about open water swimming and improve my pace and the Open Water Adventure can help me reach those goals. Overall, I thoroughly love swimming in open water and have been dreaming of going to this camp for two years now!

Thank you for your consideration, Freddi Woodford

Freddi
I appreciate your interest in the OWA. You are eminently qualified and we would be delighted to have you join us.
I also would like to ask your permission to quote from your email in my blog as a way of clarifying to other swimmers who have devoted themselves to developing their swimming, as you have, yet may not have attended a workshop, that we are happy to accommodate such swimmers.
Cheers,
Terry
